Tribal Council
Alyssa Lauture was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and relocated to California in 2017. She is a proud member of the Costo Clan and comes from a strong legacy of leadership, with many of her family members having served in leadership roles within her Tribe. This foundation has instilled in her a deep respect for her Tribe’s traditions, values, and responsibility to serve her community.
Alyssa graduated from Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona, and continued her education at South Mountain Community College and Grand Canyon University, earning degrees in the field of psychology.
She currently serves as Store Manager of the tribally owned Santa Rosa Pit Stop and is also a member of its Board of Directors, supporting the Tribe’s economic growth and sustainability.
Alyssa is serving her fourth consecutive term on Tribal Council, representing six years of dedicated service. She also serves as the Tribe’s Lead Delegate for the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), advocating for the protection of Native children and families. In addition, she serves on multiple California tribally led boards and organizations, supporting collaboration and opportunities for Tribal communities.
Alyssa is a devoted wife and mother of two and remains committed to serving her Tribe with integrity, respect, and dedication.
